Timing of TDS DeductionUnder Section 194T, the obligation to deduct TDS arises at the earlier of two events: whenthe sum is credited to the partner’s account in the books of the firm (including the capitalaccount) or when the payment is made to the partner in cash, by cheque, draft, or any othermode.
